Do you long for a God who will embrace you where you are, even with your flaws and mistakes? Do you long for forgiveness? Do you long for a God who is slow to anger? For many of us, a God who is slow to anger sounds too good to be true or outright fake because we don’t picture God in this way. Our picture of a short-fused God keeps us from coming to Him with our mess-ups, mistakes, and shame. Our picture of God keeps us from the loving arms of our heavenly Father, who is waiting to hold us, talk with us, and lift our burdens.
